Baltic Operator signs a new contract
We are happy to announce that Baltic Operator has signed a contract with Meyer Turku for the construction of the two Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs). The two new OPVs are expected to be 98 m long, 17,6 m wide, with a 5 m draft and to navigate Finland’s 4,600 km irregular coastline that is dotted with islands, islets, and skerries.
Baltic Operator was selected from among several shipyards after an evaluation and an on-site audit carried out together with the Finnish Border Guard. The hulls of the ships to be delivered by Baltic Operator to the Border Guard will be built in Gdansk yard, where are also producing large blocks to passenger cruises for Meyer Turku.
Meyer Turku is responsible for the design of the ships together with the Finnish design network. The first vessel will be completed in 2025 and the second in 2026.
Baltic Operator, operating in the international shipbuilding, wind energy and offshore sectors, is part of Grupa Przemysłowa Baltic
