The representatives of Stocznia Gdańsk S.A. have signed a framework agreement with the Finnish leader in the crane industry, Konecranes. On the basis of the contract, the client announced the submission of an order regarding the implementation of port cranes. That means Stocznia Gdańsk is on the good way to be involved In permanent cooperation with the Finnish giant. Konecranes appreciated both the technical possibilities and the location of the company, stressing that Gdańsk and Gdynia are currently creating a very interesting industrial hub for foreign clients.
The visit to Hyvinkää was also attended by Andrzej Kensbok, Vice-President of Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu SA, owner of Gdańsk Shipyard and GSG Towers, who during the conference for PAP commented on the conclusion of the framework agreement "We do not want to be only a sub-supplier on the shipbuilding market. The direct cooperation with the most important companies in the industry, guarantee a stable order portfolio."
The Finnish side has presented a part of its impressive know-how while visiting one of the production plants. It is worth noting that Konecranes has its production plants on several continents, employing over 16,000 employees, which ensures sales at the level of EUR 3.1 billion per year.
